What You’ll Do
- Identify, research, and prioritize strategic CPG companies and retailers aligned with ISG’s third-party retail merchandising services.
- Use ZoomInfo to create targeted prospect lists and find accurate contact details for key decision makers.
- Run a consistent, multi-touch outreach cadence using phone, email, and LinkedIn to secure introductory meetings.
- Develop thoughtful outreach approaches designed to connect with senior decision makers who can be hard to reach through standard channels.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of prospects, contacts, activities, and opportunities in HubSpot.
- Manage the business development pipeline in HubSpot, tracking opportunities from first contact through meeting set and handoff.
- Qualify prospects before scheduling by confirming fit, needs, decision-making authority, and timing.
- Coordinate with the sales team once meetings are set, sharing prospect background and supporting follow-up to advance opportunities.
- Track and report outreach activity, meetings set, and pipeline results to the SVP of Business Development.
- Stay current on retail, CPG, and merchandising industry trends to support relevant conversations with prospects.
- Represent ISG with professionalism and integrity in communications with prospects, clients, and industry contacts.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of business development, sales, or lead generation experience; merchandising, retail, or CPG industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with ZoomInfo and HubSpot (or similar prospecting and CRM tools).
- Comfort using LinkedIn for prospecting and professional networking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision makers.
