Job Description

The Milwaukee onsite Stormwater and Business Development Engineer leads stormwater projects, mentors staff in hydraulic modeling, and supports proposals and business development with the VP, Engineering Services.

Responsibilities

Understand each project's background, site location, and any issues or project politics
Mentor staff in hydraulic modeling and grow team capacity in that area
Identify the right team members for each project component and delegate tasks
Perform design and engineering work for assigned projects
Establish and adhere to milestone dates to meet scope deadlines
Serve as Designer or Checker within the Quality Control Program
Provide project updates to internal and external stakeholders
Update the project budget for monthly invoicing
Evaluate project status relative to completed work
Inform Project Manager of budget slips, scope creep, or schedule issues
Maintain project change and issue logs
Prospect for new clients and projects
Prepare proposals
Prepare and deliver presentations for new clients
Assist in developing or refining the marketing plan and strategies
Support social networking, public outreach, and related efforts as requested
Address problems through the appropriate chain of command
Demonstrate the organization’s mission, vision, and core values through conduct and communication
Maintain positive working relationships and foster a cooperative environment
Communicate honestly and respectfully with peers and other departments
Perform other duties within the scope of the role as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field
8+ years of project management and engineering experience
P.E. license
