Business Development Manager
Job Description
Hyundai Capital America is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive dealer growth across an assigned territory in New York.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by developing strategic relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and managing dealer relationships.
- Use consultative selling to educate, motivate, and train new and existing Hyundai/Kia/Genesis dealers in the assigned district.
- Train dealers on HCA retail, lease, CPO, and Commercial Financing Programs to achieve annual sales objectives and profitability goals.
- Leverage HCA retail/finance tools including floor plan, real estate, working capital, and sign loans.
- Drive insurance growth objectives through dealer conversion to branded F&I product, program, and deal structures.
- Implement and utilize new products and services launched by the company.
- Support territory business goals by promoting HCA programs that stimulate dealer utilization of HCA products and services.
- Collaborate with sales and product design teams to meet requirements such as sales numbers and profit goals.
- Provide competitive data feedback and propose creative solutions to support sales growth.
- Sell and promote the features and benefits of HCA Commercial Financing Programs.
- Maintain current Commercial relationships, develop and conquest new Commercial portfolio targets, and mitigate risk while supporting ROA targets.
- Build and maintain strong dealer relationships and identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Educate, enroll, and implement new programs and services at assigned dealerships to drive financial growth and expand market presence.
- Train dealership personnel (GM, GSM, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and others) on new technology and digitalization of HCA products and services, including:
- Program updates
- Application submission, funding, and compliance
- eContracting, eRehash
- Remarketing
- Self-service functionality
- Implement and drive dealer F&I and store training to support insurance product performance and maximize production.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Sales training experience.
- Captive automotive finance experience dedicated to a specific OEM is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to explain technical and nontechnical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally, including with the OEM, to leverage HCA’s products and services for mutual growth.
- Strong sales presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships.
- Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
- Proactive and able to prioritize and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
- Strong understanding of company products and services, business position, and competition.
- Dynamic and motivating with an internal drive to hit goals and deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Daily driving required, with capacity to travel long distances across assigned regions, meetings, and events.
- Some overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
