Join STANSBERRY ASSET MANAGEMENT, LLC in Dallas, TX onsite, where the Business Development team partners with Marketing to connect high-net-worth prospects with investment advisory and wealth management services. In this Business Development Representative (BDR) role, you will identify opportunities, build trusted relationships, and generate qualified meetings that support regional sales partners.
What you’ll do
- Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through outbound calls, email, and other business development channels.
- Run discovery conversations to understand prospects’ financial situations, investment objectives, concerns, and broader wealth management needs.
- Qualify prospects and identify where SAM’s investment management and wealth planning solutions can deliver meaningful value.
- Communicate SAM’s investment philosophy, wealth management capabilities, client experience, and competitive advantages clearly and confidently.
- Educate prospects on SAM’s approach and help them understand how services differ from other wealth management alternatives.
- Build trust through consultative conversations, active listening, professionalism, and consistent follow-up.
- Address questions and concerns while helping qualified prospects feel confident moving forward.
- Generate qualified meetings for regional team members and ensure relevant prospect information is transitioned smoothly.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team and Marketing to support strategies, campaigns, and growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, timely prospect activity and pipeline reporting in the CRM, including outreach, follow-up, meetings, opportunities, and results.
- Manage and prioritize a pipeline of prospects while maintaining disciplined prospecting and follow-up habits.
- Stay current on financial markets, investment trends, SAM’s strategies and solutions, and the competitive wealth management landscape.
- Own individual performance goals, seek feedback, learn from challenges, and continuously improve results.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must have your SIE and/or a Series 65.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, financial services, or a related field; RIA industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and wealth management concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Strong consultative selling, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, competitive, resilient, and accountable for measurable results.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple prospects and maintain consistent follow-up.
- Experience using CRM software and other business development tools.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced, performance-driven team.
