Business Development Specialist

Windmoor Healthcare is hiring a Business Development Specialist to support business growth through strategic partnerships and stronger referral relationships. Based in Clearwater, Florida, this hybrid role focuses on building community connections in Manatee County while also owning managed care contract responsibilities.

You will work across customer strategy and local market dynamics, promoting a patient care program designed to support referral source identification and development. The position also requires staying current with the managed care environment in the local business community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new strategic alliances with key customers.
• Promote the patient care program to support referral source identification and development.
• Develop community relations for Manatee County.
• Analyze and understand customers’ business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities, then align healthcare resources accordingly.
• Own responsibility for managed care contracts.
• Maintain current knowledge of the managed care environment in the local business community.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years of acute/behavioral healthcare experience in business development or sales.
• Proven closing skills.
• Motivation for sales.
• Prospecting skills and sales planning.
• Ability to sell to customer needs.
• Territory management and strong market knowledge.
• Presentation skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License.
