Job Description
Cedar Ridge Hospital is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department. This onsite role is focused on driving the utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through disciplined marketing practices, while also contributing to strategic facility management and proactive cross-department communication.
As part of the UHS network, Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital supports multidisciplinary care for youth ages 5-17 and adults ages 18+, offering inpatient and residential treatment services for youth and inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services for adults.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the delivery of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department.
- Drive desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care by applying marketing principles and methods effectively.
- Participate in discussions on facility issues such as strategic planning, potential growth opportunities, future projects, changes in programming or protocols, and recruitment and retention.
- Own the facility’s strategic marketing plan.
- Work to enhance the facility’s brand and image.
- Manage sales and business development activities.
- Maintain an active, productive working relationship with internal departments.
- Proactively communicate issues or potential problems, with emphasis on partnering with the CEO and the Director of Admissions/Intake.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field (required).
- Valid Driver’s License (required).
- Demonstrated superior leadership abilities, plus excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and practical skills applying marketing principles, including product, placement, pricing, and promotion.
- Experience managing sales, advertising, social media, online presence, and public relations resources.
- Creativity and flexibility.
- Skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application, and evaluation.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Proven record of adhering to deadlines.
- Customer service skills.
- Teaching or training skills.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
Minimum Experience: 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior marketing and/or sales experience in a behavioral healthcare setting (preferred).
- Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships (preferred).
- Master of Business Administration or related field (highly preferred), with experience potentially evaluated case-by-case in lieu of a degree.
- Preference for knowledge of the Oklahoma behavioral health marketplace, including insurance plans, target markets, referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming.

- Work hours: Based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO
About Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (A UHS Facility)
- Provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, and inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+.
- Multidisciplinary treatment teams include psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and highly specialized nurses collaborating to develop and implement compassionate treatment plans.
- Includes a 206-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, gym, outdoor courtyard, and playground.
