Group Manager, Business Development (Consumer Money)
Job Description
Intuit's Consumer Money group is expanding its partnerships portfolio with a Group Manager of Business Development. This leadership role focuses on shaping and scaling strategic alliances, overseeing end-to-end deals from inception through execution, and guiding cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable business impact. Based onsite in Charlotte, NC, the position calls for a seasoned dealmaker with extensive experience in consumer financial services and strategic business development.
Responsibilities
- Scope, build, and scale some of Consumer Money’s most critical partnerships
- Maintain relationships and negotiate renewal deals with existing partners
- Own the full deal process from conception through execution
- Develop strategy and evaluate potential partners
- Facilitate executive alignment and negotiate terms
- Support implementation and execute cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Marketing
- Guide Consumer Money strategy by monitoring the partner landscape and analyzing the business impact of potential partnership efforts
- Play a high-visibility role in strategy and execution for top company priorities
- Leverage business acumen, analytics, and relationship experience to close industry-shaping deals that benefit members
- Operate in a highly cross-functional, collaborative environment, serving as a hub within Consumer Money and with external partners
Requirements
- Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills, adept at analyzing data to support strategies and communications
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, presentation, and verbal communication abilities
- Experience negotiating contracts
- Experience building consensus among multiple stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives
- Experience in consumer financial services and familiarity with using technology to build partnerships (e.g., API integrations, digital app distribution/monetization, and product development processes)
- Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with 8+ years of partnerships, investment banking, consulting, or strategic BD experience
