Job Description

This fully remote leadership role drives Leybold service offerings with technical and commercial oversight across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth of Leybold's service portfolio, covering field service, equipment upgrades, in-house repairs, training, refurbished equipment, and spare parts.
  • Create and implement plans to increase service revenue and expand market share in North America.
  • Assist service product management with pricing strategies, product launches, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with North American and Global Service Marketing teams to craft compelling customer messaging and growth campaigns.
  • Advance customer education and training programs, including LeyboldU and other service-focused learning initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with key direct and reseller accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Educate and support Leybold sales teams and sales support functions on service offerings, value propositions, and solution development.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for new service programs, products, and customer initiatives.
  • Deepen expertise in Leybold products, services, and applications within scientific and industrial vacuum markets.
  • Monitor competitive service offerings, pricing, and market trends to strengthen Leybold's position and provide feedback to global product management.
  • Serve as a technical resource for service-related questions and support cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and conference calls to identify service opportunities and support sales development efforts.
  • Assist with regional warranty claim reviews and service-related business decisions.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, product marketing, product management, or service-related business development.
  • Experience within the vacuum industry or other industrial technology markets is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions for complex business and customer challenges.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Demonstrated accountability and commitment to achieving business objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to support business growth initiatives.
