Retail Sales Manager

My Wireless, an AT&T Authorized Retailer, is hiring a Retail Sales Manager to lead a store team in San Jose, CA (onsite). In this role, you will help drive an outstanding customer experience while overseeing day-to-day operations, coaching team performance against KPIs, and supporting growth initiatives that strengthen the store’s client base.

Working in a fast-paced retail environment, you will be responsible for training and leading the team, managing store standards, and ensuring location performance aligns with company expectations and legal requirements. The position combines people leadership, operational oversight, and sales leadership, with opportunities to earn through commission and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Train and lead a team to deliver an extraordinary customer experience that supports sales targets.
• Supervise daily store operations, including hiring, scheduling, team development, and coaching to maintain consistently strong customer experience, sales results, and operational quality.
• Coach and develop team members to achieve company-established Key Performance Indicators and location goals.
• Maintain staffing through employee retention, recruiting, and training and development.
• Build and maintain a steady client base through ethical, customer-centric practices.
• Support the growth of business accounts by partnering with the AT&T Signature team and holding community events outside the store.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by completing inventory counts, securing devices, and merchandising according to company standards and policies.
• Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
• Protect the stability and reputation of the location by complying with legal requirements.
• Stay current on professional and technical knowledge through workshops, professional publications, and personal networking.

Requirements

• 1 year management experience in a similar field (Required), preferably in the Wireless Industry.
• 1 year retail or customer-facing sales experience (Required).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (Required).
• Proven ability to meet performance and operational standards (Required).
• Ability to motivate, lead, and coach to results (Required).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (Required).
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills (Required).
• Bilingual (Preferred, depending on location).
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred).
• Retail or customer-facing sales experience in telecommunications (Preferred).
• Experience prospecting through outbound calls (Preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age, legally able to be employed in the US, and have a High School diploma or equivalent (Required).

Physical Demands

• Most of the time is spent standing and walking, moving around for prolonged periods, and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Other movements may include climbing ladders, balancing on ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fine handling of display materials and merchandise.
• Dexterity required.
• Vision abilities needed to work with small parts in mobile phones and to look at a computer screen for prolonged periods.
• These requirements can be met using eyeglasses or contacts.
