Sales Manager
Job Description
The Outlaw Group is hiring an onsite Sales Manager in Breckenridge, CO to lead sales strategy, improve booking conversion, and strengthen how guests book and get support across all brands. This role oversees sales operations end-to-end, from booking platforms and communications to partner relationships and inventory management.
Salary: USD 58,000 - 68,000 per year.
What you’ll do
- Oversee all aspects of The Outlaw Group’s sales initiatives, including new business, booking platforms, communications, partner relationships, group sales, service recovery, pricing, and inventory management.
- Own sales strategy across all Outlaw brands, including ways to streamline the online booking experience and reduce call volume without sacrificing conversions or guest experience.
- Grow revenue by identifying which products and services to promote or reduce, and maintain sales conversions while reducing call volume.
- Evaluate the online booking experience to identify impediments to conversion and optimize the schedule where needed to maximize conversions while protecting operational efficiencies.
- Monitor booking volume and adjust pricing to maximize revenue during high-volume times, either manually or through automated yield pricing.
- Create a discount strategy to generate interest during low-volume times.
- Monitor brand competitors and respond as needed to changes in marketing and pricing.
- Evaluate booking trends and adjust strategy over time based on performance.
- Oversee a small sales team that handles inbound and outbound calls, customer service, and sales-related projects.
- Review current inbound systems and best practices, and implement improvements when needed.
- Field inbound calls and make reservations when needed, including support during peak periods.
- Staff a seasonal inbound call team during peak times by training staff of select departments to field inbound calls during high-volume months.
- Build and refine call flows that deliver a strong guest experience while maintaining efficiency.
- Manage large group and custom reservations, including hourly transportation services.
- Create and maintain booking partnerships, and manage OTA contracts, listings, inventory, and reservations.
- Oversee booking platforms for all brands and optimize existing features to improve the guest booking experience.
- Evaluate new res tech options, either by shopping for new booking platforms or supporting new development in existing platforms.
- Oversee guest concerns and complaints, working to resolve issues and partner with operations to diagnose and correct recurring problems.
- Respond to credit card disputes with a goal of all disputes being decided in the company’s favor.
- Pull and report company net promoter scores.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance to support brand success, accurate accounting of revenue/refunds/partner billing/chargebacks, and alignment on messaging and booking experience.
Team leadership and performance
- Hire, train, and manage a small sales team.
- Set goals and performance metrics for individuals and the team as a whole.
- Audit staff performance and provide ongoing training and feedback to maintain high guest service on every call.
- Build standardized trainings for all sales functions.
Technology and systems you’ll manage
- Merchant services requirements, including PCI compliance.
- Phone system(s) to balance guest experience with efficient staffing levels.
- Other communications platforms, including online chat and text messaging.
- Booking integrations with OTAs and other platforms.
