Sales Manager
Job Description
The Sales Manager will oversee total store operations with a strong focus on the sales process, budget management, and delivering targeted performance in both new and used vehicle sales. This role leads and coaches the sales team while coordinating customer traffic and inventory planning with senior leadership.

Compensation
USD 120,000 - 180,000 per year
Role Responsibilities
- Manage total store operations, including associate development, profitability, and customer satisfaction with a concentration on the sales process and budget management
- Use reports and analysis to monitor trends and identify opportunities within the business
- Identify ways to reduce waste and implement process improvements that add value for customer and employee experience
- Interview, hire, train, and promote employees to support store operations and company growth
- Support associate engagement and development through timely feedback, including individual meetings, file reviews, performance management, and the Annual Performance Review (APR) process
- Lead the senior management team by setting store strategy and providing vision, direction, and motivation to the sales organization
- Champion and implement company and store initiatives to support consistent execution and continuous improvement
- Direct daily store operations by interpreting, communicating, and executing established policies and procedures
- Resolve customer and employee issues
- Facilitate and participate in meetings and conference calls
- Set clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and profit
- Drive the business through active day-to-day involvement
- Manage the negotiation process with Sales Consultants to ensure customers understand vehicle purchase options and pricing
- Appraise vehicles for trade
- Manage customer traffic across Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
- Partner with the General Manager and/or General Sales Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory
- Assist in managing controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments
- Analyze business performance, identify shortfalls, and develop action plans to improve results
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of automotive management experience
- Proven track record in desking and closing deals
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional personal presentation
- Attention to detail, along with organizing and planning capability
- Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to make independent judgments regarding critical business decisions
- Ability to identify business opportunities and suggest improvements
- Ability to speak, listen, and write effectively with customers and associates across departments
- College degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field (preferred)
- CDK system experience (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment
