Sr. National Account Sales Manager
Job Description
Join Mattel in Minneapolis as a Sr. National Account Sales Manager. This on-site role offers a competitive total pay range of $140,000 to $171,000 annually, comprehensive benefits, and resources designed to help every employee reach their full potential. You will lead growth with Target across the US by building strategic account plans, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving multi-year sales objectives within a purpose-driven, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic account plan that maximizes profitability and service levels while advancing segment and corporate growth targets.
- Create and execute omnichannel strategic plans that align Mattel and customer goals.
- Lead a cross-functional team to align brand and customer vision and deliver against the strategy and objectives.
- Propose innovative solutions in a dynamic retail environment to drive results.
- Guide multi-year planning that leverages the omnichannel brand vision and priorities.
- Direct trade spend to support promotional activations at the account and drive sales.
- Grow market share by leveraging data and shopper insights.
- Lead the integration of Toy and Consumer Products within the customer organization.
- Collaborate effectively with the customer team and internal functions such as finance, supply chain, marketing, and senior leadership.
- Lead internal discussions with Marketing and Omnichannel Retail Marketing teams to ensure solid retail execution.
- Identify business opportunities and partner with internal teams to create customized plans that drive results.
- Optimize planogram item recommendations to boost productivity and expand space.
- Leverage marketing and brand priorities to secure feature placement beyond the aisle.
- Conduct weekly buyer meetings and periodic business reviews to manage performance and respond to trends.
- Partner with internal teams within the Target CBT to build monthly forecasts, support orders, and meet customer requirements.
- Attend toy shows and previews, staying informed about new product line architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of sales experience with a mass account, consumer packaged goods, toys, or entertainment
- Strategic visionary with strong selling and communication skills
- Goal-oriented mindset capable of driving toward targets
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions
- Collaborative team player who can deliver results across functions
- Ability to influence others, build relationships with accounts, and work with internal and external stakeholders
- Resilience under pressure with sound judgment
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Trade marketing experience including category management, site merchandising, and promotional planning
- Toy selling experience
- Experience working with Target and knowledge of their reporting systems
