Vice President, Airport Lounge Business Development

Job Description

Join JPMorgan Chase in New York, onsite, to lead airport lounge business development within Corporate Development – Travel Partnerships. This executive role directs end-to-end deal execution for the lounge portfolio, manages a multi-airport pipeline, negotiates with airports and external partners, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver premium lounge experiences while evolving the lounge strategy. The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of USD 142,500 to 210,000 per year plus eligible incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits program and a culture that emphasizes collaboration, rigor, and execution excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a multi-year lounge opportunities pipeline across airports, prioritizing initiatives and developing partner relationships.
  • Lead airport and lease negotiations from initial outreach through LOI/term sheet, redlines, execution, and close, with a deep understanding of lease terms and commercial structures.
  • Manage external partner relationships as the day-to-day leader with the operating partner, aligning on pipeline, diligence, development scope, budget, and delivery timelines; drive governance, KPIs, and escalation.
  • Coordinate end-to-end deal execution, translating diligence into commercial and contractual terms and ensuring clear decisioning and documentation.
  • Oversee development economics by building and defending business cases for each lounge (capex, rent/MAG, operating costs, demand assumptions, utilization, benefits impact) and partnering with finance for disciplined returns and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with design and construction teams to understand design intent and key cost drivers, evaluate budgets, cost estimates, value engineering options, and schedule risks; ensure actionable handoffs from deal to build.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder groups by leading cross-functional alignment across product, marketing, risk, controls, legal, finance, procurement, operations, and customer experience; communicate tradeoffs and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence on the lounge landscape, premium card benefits trends, and competitor footprints to identify whitespace opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure execution within JPMorgan Chase policies and controls by partnering with risk, legal, compliance, and procurement to follow required processes and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in business development, corporate development, partnerships, or real estate and airport commercial negotiations with end-to-end ownership of complex deals.
  • Proven ability to lead lease and contract negotiations.
  • Strong financial and analytical capability, including comfort building and reviewing models that articulate value drivers and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated program and project leadership, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, risks, and decision points.
  • Executive-ready communication skills, including crisp memos, negotiation briefs, stakeholder updates, and presenting recommendations and tradeoffs with clarity and rigor.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
