Job Description

LaFontaine Infiniti Troy is seeking an Automotive Business Development Representative to manage web inquiries and lead flow, guiding customers toward showroom visits and connecting them with sales and service teams across LaFontaine brand locations in Michigan. This on-site role offers hourly pay plus commission and includes comprehensive training to develop automotive sales and customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer communications via email, phone, and text in line with established standards and processes.
  • Schedule dealership appointments, drive lead-to-dealership conversions, and sell products based on department standards.
  • Enter all prospect communications, notes, records, and customer appointment data into the CRM.
  • Maintain daily tracking boards showing Internet sales updates for the month.
  • Prepare reports detailing appointments scheduled, appointments kept, and sales generated from leads.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings for the dealership and the eSales department.

Education and Experience

  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Two years of experience in customer service (No Automotive Necessary)
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for receiving and responding to web based electronic inquiries (leads), working with the existing customer database, handling incoming sales phone calls resulting from prospects and customers visiting the dealership website, associated websites, and other lead sources.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds from time to time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
