Job Description

Douron, Inc. is hiring a Business Development Associate to grow local relationships, represent the brand in the community, and help move projects from leads to completed customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Increase community awareness of the company in a strategically advantageous manner
  • Represent the company brand standards and ideals in the local community
  • Engage with businesses and individuals to build positive views of the company, its product lines, services, and capabilities
  • Follow leads, develop contacts, and network throughout the community
  • Drive business development across the local Baltimore community by attending events for design, construction, and real estate professionals
  • Expand business opportunities and support project securement
  • Lead showroom tours and serve as the primary presenter
  • Maintain familiarity with sales tools, including case studies and project presentations
  • Maintain familiarity with product lines and commercial furniture project essentials
  • Communicate company advantages, including leading design solutions and installation expertise, to support client promotion
  • As needed, secure projects and act as project manager by monitoring progress at every stage
  • Coordinate and communicate internally to help ensure a seamless client experience
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Support safe, clean operations by following policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • PC proficiency and basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Basic business math proficiency
  • Ability to interact with business representatives and negotiate contracts advantageously
  • Ability to navigate complex sales intricacies and challenges
  • Ability to deliver professional, effective presentations
  • Ability to assess and manage resources to support successful project completion
  • Working knowledge of industry-specifics (examples provided: furniture lines, terminology, price points)
  • Architecture and construction understanding preferred
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans and technical drawings
  • Contract furniture processes and standard project workflow understanding preferred
  • Workplace environment considerations (examples provided: ergonomics, technology integration) preferred
  • Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team; willingness to help as needed
  • Strong time management to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Demonstrates TSRC values and serves as a role model
  • Professional interaction skills with customers, vendor partners, and fellow employees

  • Salary range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, paid biweekly

Physical Demands

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Worksites may be under construction and may not be climate-controlled during installation
