Snake Tray is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Director with a focus on Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) to drive growth, cultivate industry partnerships, and expand renewable energy solutions worldwide. This role is based onsite in Bay Shore, New York.
Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in Solar PV, BESS, and EVCI to lead growth initiatives, forge strong industry partnerships, and advance the deployment of innovative renewable energy solutions across markets worldwide. As a key driver of the business, you will identify new opportunities and shape strategic actions to broaden the company’s footprint in clean energy technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategies for solar PV, BESS, and EVCI projects to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, industry networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and closing, aligned with company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, utilities, and industry stakeholders to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
- Oversee project management activities related to business development initiatives to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Utilize Global Shop Solutions CRM to track leads, manage customer interactions, analyze sales data, and optimize outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that raise brand awareness and generate qualified leads within the renewable energy sector.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development within the solar PV, BESS, or EVCI markets with demonstrated ability to close complex deals.
- Extensive experience using CRM software for sales tracking and customer relationship management.
- Strong background in strategic planning, sales negotiations, and project management within the renewable energy or related sectors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies aimed at promoting renewable energy solutions to various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, market trends, and the competitive landscape in clean energy technologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate across teams while maintaining a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities.

Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 per year
