Job Description

Renew Medic by KJM is seeking a hands-on Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its disaster-restoration cabinet restoration operation in Central Florida. This onsite role in Clermont centers on expanding relationships, driving revenue, and ensuring operational execution across multiple territories, supported by a strong commission structure and close collaboration with ownership. The position offers a salary range of USD 44,000 to 68,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with ownership to identify, attract, and onboard high-potential team members as the business scales.
  • Coach and develop team members through clear expectations, accountability, and hands-on leadership.
  • Cultivate an entrepreneurial culture with an ownership mindset, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Serve as a proactive problem solver, removing obstacles for technicians, partners, and clients with a solutions-first approach.
  • Drive growth by setting explicit operational goals and holding field and shop teams accountable for delivering on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a strong day-to-day leadership presence while major hiring and strategic decisions remain collaborative with ownership.
  • Collaborate with ownership to build and sustain relationships with restoration partners, adjusters, designers, contractors, and other referral sources.
  • Engage in collaborative selling and business development efforts.
  • Represent the company professionally in the field, on active job sites, and in clients’ homes, upholding communication standards and delivering a high-quality homeowner experience.
  • Nurture long-term relationships so clients and homeowners feel continuity, responsiveness, and confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help ensure jobs are executed efficiently and profitably.
  • Maintain awareness of job costing, margins, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance at the job level to protect gross profit margins and meet profitability objectives.
  • Provide input on budgeting and commitments while financial decisions remain owner-led.
  • Maintain visibility across all territories to ensure work flows smoothly from estimate to completion.
  • Track job progress and sustain rhythm within the DASH system and daily operations.
  • Translate estimates into actionable work orders and job budgets, ensuring production staff sticks to the defined scope.
  • Identify workflow challenges early and help establish scalable processes as the business grows.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach, stepping in to support field or shop operations during staffing gaps or peak workloads.
  • Develop familiarity with shop processes, tools, and safety practices to provide informed leadership under pressure.
  • Build credibility with technicians by understanding the work and contributing on the floor when appropriate.
  • Perform final Quality Control checks on restoration projects before installation to uphold high craftsmanship standards.

Requirements

  • Background in restoration, construction, mitigation, insurance-related home services, or related sectors.
  • Experience working with adjusters, referral partners, or insurance-driven projects.
  • Strong communicator with a professional presence and a relationship-first mindset.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with clients and internal operations when needed.
  • Ability to balance growth-focused thinking with operational execution.
