Commercial Sales Manager
Job Description
Lead the commercial and dealer sales function onsite in Scranton, PA, partnering with the Chief Strategy Officer to drive profitability, growth, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Drive success and profitability for the dealer portfolio
- Acquire new dealers, fleet accounts, and commercial customers
- Evaluate performance of current dealer accounts in the Onvo portfolio
- Manage dealer contracts, renewals, brand programs, and overall account financial return
- Execute account optimization strategies to improve results across existing locations
- Grow portfolio fuel volumes through acquisition of new accounts and development of current accounts
- Ensure adherence to brand standards, including mystery shop compliance and advertising programs
- Support retail execution and maintain relationships with brand partners through in-person meetings
- Take prompt corrective actions when deficiencies are identified
- Acquire new fleet accounts through in-person and telemarketing efforts to enhance fuel sales at travel plazas
- Acquire new commercial accounts for wholesale fuel delivery sales
- Understand, practice, and communicate fuel account expectations regarding proper safety, health, and environmental practices
- Analyze sales data, address concerns, and implement corrections as needed
- Present analysis findings to leadership and propose improvement strategies
- Determine profitability and viability of each account and provide improvement suggestions
- Focus consistently on customer needs and provide what is contractually required
- Build trusting relationships and mutual respect with partners and account stakeholders
- Represent Onvo with credibility and integrity, acting as a business advisor and consultant
- Execute solutions to increase sales and identify alternatives to enhance account performance
- Oversee application, credit, and contract process for future accounts
- Coach accounts on improving image, retail execution, and customer service
- Monitor fuel brand mystery shop scores and work with dealers to improve and correct deficiencies
- Communicate internally with Onvo personnel to resolve billing or payment issues
- Work with accounts to efficiently manage fuel deliveries for mutual benefit
- Manage technology issues, new initiatives, and upgrades to stay compliant with brand and industry standards
- Manage brand and Onvo programs designed to build loyalty and grow Onvo business
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Thorough understanding of the fuel and service industry
- Understanding of key factors that drive the success of a service operation
- Ability to negotiate contracts and business agreements
- Ability to keep work on schedule, meet deadlines, and meet commitments
- Deep understanding of financial analysis for fuel businesses (pricing, freight, and related factors)
- Thorough knowledge of current business and fuel industry trends
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Outlook
