What you’ll own
In this role, you will direct the development and continuous improvement of the facility’s business development plan. You will lead the department’s strategic goals, philosophy, policies and procedures, and operating systems, ensuring alignment between business development priorities and facility execution.
You will directly supervise the marketing team, manage hospital marketing efforts, and oversee the marketing budget. The position is part of the facility’s Senior Management Team, supporting hospital-wide strategy while focusing on sustainable growth.
- Develop and continuously refine the facility’s business development plan
- Design, develop, implement, and direct business development goals, policies, procedures, and systems for both the department and the facility
- Directly supervise Marketing Representatives, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and coaching through rewarding and disciplining
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with organizational policies and applicable laws
- Grow the hospital’s business by managing marketing efforts including advertising, public relations, research, and referral development
- Utilize and manage the marketing department budget
- Coordinate and develop hospital-based workshops and other events
- Gather, analyze, and report data related to marketing efforts and performance of the marketing team
- Plan, assign, and direct work; address complaints and resolve problems
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of health care business development with measurable results
- Direct experience developing managed care agreements, especially with capitation and at-risk areas
- Detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles
- Valid driver’s license
