Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Puget Sound market, including strategic account plans for key customers.
- Lead project pursuits from concept through contract award.
- Build relationships with General Contractors, Owners, Architects, and Developers that drive negotiated and last-look opportunities.
- Identify projects during conceptual design and preconstruction phases.
- Collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and operations to position Northwest Woodworks for success.
- Manage opportunities through our CRM from lead generation through project award.
- Represent Northwest Woodworks at industry events, association meetings, and networking functions.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership.
- Travel periodically throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Requirements
- 7+ years of business development experience in commercial construction with a focus on interior remodels and build outs.
- Established relationships with General Contractors in the Seattle/Puget Sound market.
- Experience selling architectural millwork, specialty subcontracting, interiors, commercial construction services, or related building products.
- Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, and project delivery.
- Demonstrated success exceeding sales and business development objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with disciplined CRM usage.
