Job Description

Join Mastercard in the US Issuers on the Account Retention on Processors and Community Institutions team, partnering with banks and their payment ecosystems to surface opportunities, address challenges, and deliver solutions that support revenue growth and market share. This onsite role in O’Fallon, MO combines account strategy, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate outreach to thousands of affiliate issuers and their payment processors within the community bank and credit unions segment to achieve volume and revenue growth goals.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts with banks, credit unions, or their payment consultants.
  • Manage relationships with payment consultant companies and payment processor partners, including responding to RFPs.
  • Collaborate with a large, diverse cross-functional Mastercard team to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within your assigned customer segment.
  • Identify customer needs, growth strategies, and opportunities to deliver solutions that drive profitability, revenue growth, and value creation for both Mastercard and customers.
  • Define inputs and assumptions for business cases and financial models that support customer relationships and agreements, including US and global linkage of resources and information sharing, with demonstrated ability to develop business cases independently.
  • Coordinate thought leadership engagements with influencer parties and customers.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within the Processors and Community Issuers segment.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with strong organization and a collaboration mindset; solutions and results driven.
  • Comfort with financial modeling and motivation to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple customer contract agreement processes.
  • Understanding of business and market dynamics, Mastercard product and service specifications and applications, and customer strategies and needs to design tailored solutions.
  • Ability to discuss Mastercard platforms, products, and services; clearly explain how customers can leverage Mastercard offerings; communicate complex technological concepts with clarity.
  • Ability to track cutting-edge technology trends and events affecting Mastercard platforms and services, visualize the “big picture,” and understand interdependencies and implications for current and future business goals.
  • 5+ years of sales and account management experience, or experience from payment networks, payment processors, community banks, credit unions, or payment consultants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range (annual): O’Fallon, Missouri $126,000 - $202,000.
