Job Description

Phenimax LLC is seeking a Sales & Business Development Associate to support customer growth for a premium Japanese tea brand. Based in Torrance, CA with an on-site setup, this role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and partnering closely with the CEO on strategic growth projects across Southern California and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Visit prospective and existing customers to support ongoing account development.
  • Conduct customer outreach using phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and other industry functions.
  • Follow up on leads and convert prospects into customers.
  • Support wholesale, retail, distributor, and foodservice sales activities.
  • Assist with executing sales and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and document sales activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic growth projects.

Requirements

  • Fluent English.
  • Business-level Japanese.
  • Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for sales and building customer relationships.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with frequent local travel and customer visits.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales experience and/or business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Interest in Japanese tea, wellness, food & beverage.
  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, recruiting, or account management.
  • A background in athletic or team sports.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay: USD 3,800 to 6,000 per month ($3,800.00 - $6,000.00 per month).

Job type: Full-time.

Work location: In person (on-site).

Role Context

This position is not a traditional corporate sales role.
