Sales Manager
Job Description
Fastems LLC is hiring a Sales Manager to lead growth across the Northeast sales territory. The role focuses on implementing Fastems’ sales strategy, expanding revenue and profit through both new business and deeper penetration with existing customers, supported by Inside Sales and approximately 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement direct and partner sales strategies, manage forecasting, reporting, and keep sales pipeline details updated in the CRM, and drive resolution of sales issues to meet Fastems’ sales objectives.
- Maintain consistent customer and prospect communication with timely follow-up, stay responsive to customer needs, and report market requirements to the relevant product lines and management.
- Work toward monthly, trimester, and annual sales targets to increase profitable sales and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
- Protect sales volume, product mix, and selling price by tracking supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitive activity.
- Schedule regular meetings with current customers, partners, and new prospects within the territory to understand evolving business needs and position Fastems’ offering to address them.
- Continuously improve customer understanding and adoption of Fastems’ offerings and capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Demonstrated drive for personal and company growth, with a “can do” approach to business outcomes.
- Independent prospecting experience using multiple sources of information, including contacting ICP prospects and delivering Fastems’ message effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with processes and regulations in metal-cutting machine shops.
- Strong interest and ability to quickly grasp the functionality and logic of technical topics.
- Technical sales experience connected to the metal cutting space, including processes or technology related to the metal industry, machine tool building, and/or robotics industry.
- Knowledge of scheduling, automation, tool management, and program management in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical degree from an accredited university is preferred.
- Customer-focused mindset with persuasive negotiation skills and a consultative, solution sales approach, including active listening and the ability to ask the right questions to identify true needs and objectives.
- Ability to analyze customer objectives and translate them into solutions aligned to Fastems’ offerings and competencies.
- Capability to create customized presentations to support consultative selling and facilitate order progress.
- Persistence and product/value communication skills when engaging potential customers.
