Job Description

Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine offers a structured, coaching-focused culture for sales leaders who want to build performance through training, accountability, and hands-on development. This onsite role helps strengthen a repeatable system that prepares the Proximity, Events, and Retail team to generate qualified appointments for in-home sales.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year. Location: Bangor, ME (in person).

What you’ll do

The Sales Manager leads recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for proximity (door-to-door/neighborhood) and events marketing representatives. You’ll design and refine the curriculum, build clear development pathways, and ensure the team operates with consistent brand standards while staying focused on appointment production.

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve onboarding and training for proximity and events representatives.
  • Create development paths from new hire to top performer, including skill benchmarks, certification checkpoints, and promotion readiness criteria.
  • Maintain training materials, scripts, talk tracks, objection-handling guides, and role-play scenarios aligned with Renewal by Andersen brand standards and current offers.
  • Run regular ride-alongs and in-field shadowing, plus on-site coaching at events, to observe, model, and reinforce best practices in real time.
  • Lead by example through personal canvassing and hands-on event work to demonstrate approach, engagement, and appointment-setting techniques.
  • Deliver same-day debriefs with specific, actionable feedback and follow-up plans.
  • Plan and facilitate new-hire classroom sessions, weekly skill-building workshops, and team meetings covering product knowledge, brand story, qualifying, objection handling, and appointment setting.
  • Use role-play, practice drills, and recorded examples to build confidence before reps go into the field.
  • Partner with HR on onboarding logistics, training documentation, and tracking completion.
  • Set and communicate expectations for activity, lead quality, and appointment production; monitor individual and team results daily and weekly.
  • Conduct one-on-ones, performance reviews, and corrective action when needed, in partnership with HR.
  • Recognize and celebrate wins to build a positive, competitive, high-accountability team culture.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring to maintain appropriate staffing for the proximity and events marketing team.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership on event calendars, staffing, booth setup, and neighborhood canvassing strategy around active installation areas.
  • Analyze lead source data to identify top-performing events, territories, and reps, then adjust deployment accordingly.
  • Work with the in-home sales team and call center to improve appointment quality, confirmation rates, and handoff.
