Job Description
Matthew Robb Farmers Insurance is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and support a high-performing sales organization in Grayslake, IL. The goal of this role is to guide a team through training and coaching while building customer relationships through Home, Auto, Business, and Life insurance sales.
This is an onsite opportunity designed to support long-term career development, including pathways toward agency ownership and income earned through insurance sales. The position blends active selling, lead follow-up, and ongoing guidance from district staff to help you and your team operate with consistency and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
- Present and offer Home, Auto, Business, and Life Insurance products
- Create insurance quotes, deliver sales presentations, and close sales
- Understand prospect needs, identify sales opportunities, and match solutions accordingly
- Build and maintain a database of current and potential customers
- Stay informed about competing products and services
- Work within a competitive team environment
Qualifications
- Sales experience or a client-facing background is a plus
- Insurance experience is preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior
- Coachable mindset
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Base Salary + Commission + Bonus Opportunities
- Salary range: USD 180,000 - 340,000 per year

Training, Licensing, and Support
- Comprehensive insurance sales training to support success with or without prior insurance industry background
- No insurance sales experience required; full training will be provided
- Lead generation and marketing bonuses are available to support start-up
- Licensing is required if hired, and Farmers will assist with obtaining all licenses required
