Strategic Planning Analyst (Global Business Development)

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive total compensation package for a Strategic Planning Analyst in Global Business Development. This onsite role in Falls Church, VA supports international growth by developing focus country strategies, evaluating markets, competitors, and partnerships, and delivering analysis to inform senior leadership decisions. The position provides a clear impact pathway across global enterprise initiatives, with a salary range of USD 103,600 to 193,900 per year. The compensation is delivered in two bands: Primary Level USD 103,600 to 155,400 and Secondary Level USD 129,300 to 193,900. The role requires regular onsite work in Falls Church, travel up to 25% when needed, and the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Responsibilities

• Support development of international focus country strategies.
• Conduct strategic assessments of key international markets, competitors, and partnerships.
• Provide analysis that supports senior executive decisions.
• Support the integration and coordination of the CGBDO strategic planning process with sector counterparts and enterprise functions.
• Support wide-ranging global enterprise business development initiatives for the Chief Global Business Development Officer.
• Support assessments on international customer budgets, technology, and competitive trends.
• Regular onsite work will be required.

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications for Level 3: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Basic Qualifications for Level 4: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
• Experience in business strategy development and strategic planning.
• Experience leveraging data analytic techniques to generate business insights.
• Experience analyzing at least one or more of the following: annual operating plans / long-range strategic plans; sales/pipeline forecasts; international defense budget and market analysis/forecasting.
• Superior analytical and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex, multi-faceted data into succinct executive-level briefs.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiatives and pursue hypotheses analytically.
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral, including the ability to generate materials for stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work requisite hours to support executive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate independently, dynamically manage priorities, and thrive in a multi-disciplinary, highly collaborative team environment.
• High proficiency with standard project management and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain USG security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25%.
