Trademark Attorney – Client Portfolio & Business Development

Orion Placement is seeking a Trademark Attorney to manage an established portfolio of trademark clients and provide business-focused guidance on trademark registration, protection, and intellectual property matters. The role is hybrid in Mountain View, CA, with on-site work Monday through Thursday and remote Fridays, along with business development responsibilities to grow a recurring client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an established portfolio of trademark clients and act as a trusted legal advisor.
• Advise businesses and entrepreneurs on trademark registration, protection, and related intellectual property matters.
• Support trademark searches, applications, USPTO filings, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Build durable client relationships through clear communication and personalized legal guidance.
• Identify opportunities to expand client services and grow a recurring book of business.
• Collaborate with legal and operations teams to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
• Take ownership of client relationships while developing legal practice and business development capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar; California preferred.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. state (required).
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Thursday in the Mountain View office.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to develop long-term client relationships.
• Interest in trademark law, intellectual property, business development, and client advisory work.

Preferred Experience

• Trademark experience: 1 year (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: USD 120,000 per year (from $120,000.00 per year).

Work Location

Mountain View, CA 94035 (Hybrid). Work on-site Monday through Thursday with remote work on Fridays. Bay Area candidates are welcome, and attorneys willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.
