FCA Legal Funding is expanding its Sacramento territory with a field-based Business Development Manager role focused on building relationships at personal injury law firms. The position supports long-term growth through regular in-person visits and relationship development across key firm roles, while representing FCA’s full set of case-advancing services.
This opportunity is available in two tracks: a full-time employment path or a commission-only 1099 Referral Partner option for people already embedded in the PI industry. Both paths are territory-focused and designed around developing relationships over time, not one-time transactions.
What you’ll do
- Visit law firms in your territory in person, building and maintaining relationships with attorneys, case managers, and intake staff
- Represent FCA’s services, including Plaintiff Cash Advance, Policy Limits Search, Investigations, Medical Directory, and Medical Records Retrieval
- Document every visit and firm relationship so opportunities in your territory are visible to the team beyond your own pipeline
- Build a territory for sustained growth, with multiple visits often needed to turn new relationships into real business
- Help identify and prioritize new opportunities within your assigned territory
What you bring
- Minimum 2 years of B2B business development, sales, or field/outside marketing experience
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, since this role requires regular in-person visits
- Comfort working independently while managing your schedule, pipeline, and territory
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build trust quickly with attorneys and law firm office staff
- Willingness to complete required training, in-office and/or remote, as part of onboarding and ongoing development
Two ways to work with FCA in Sacramento
- Full-time Business Development Manager (employment)
- 1099 Referral Partner (commission-only) for those already embedded in the PI industry through existing relationships
Pay & benefits
- Full-Time Employment: $50,000 base salary; uncapped, volume-based commission
- Referral Partner – PI Law Firm Relationships: 1099, commission-only
- Mileage reimbursement for field travel
- Company card for law-firm-facing business development spend
- Health insurance
- PTO with 90-day vesting
- Paid training (in-office and remote)
