Business Development Manager

FCA Legal Funding is expanding its field-based Business Development team in San Diego, CA, with a focus on personal injury law firms. In this role, you will visit firms in person, represent FCA’s services, and develop relationships that grow over time.

You will also be responsible for capturing visit notes and firm relationship details so your territory’s pipeline stays visible to the entire team. With an uncapped, volume-based commission structure, your performance has room to compound.

What You’ll Do

• Visit law firms in your territory in person, building and maintaining relationships with attorneys, case managers, and intake staff
• Represent FCA’s full suite of services: Plaintiff Cash Advance, Policy Limits Search, Investigations, Medical Directory, and Medical Records Retrieval
• Document every visit and every firm relationship so opportunities in your territory are visible across the team
• Develop a long-term territory through multiple touches, since law firm relationships often require several visits to become business
• Help identify and prioritize new opportunities within your territory

Requirements

• 2+ years of B2B business development, sales, or field/outside marketing experience
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for regular in-person law firm visits
• Comfort working independently by managing your own schedule, pipeline, and territory
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly with attorneys, case managers, and law firm office staff
• Willingness to complete required training (in-office and/or remote) as part of onboarding and ongoing development

Compensation & Employment Details

• Full-time role
• $50,000 base salary
• Uncapped, volume-based commission (full structure shared with qualified candidates during the interview process)
• Pay range: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
