Area Sales Director
Job Description
Integra LifeSciences is hiring an Area Sales Director to lead regional growth within the Acclarent & Acute Specialty Instrument US sales organization. In this remote role, you will guide sales strategy, drive profitable outcomes, and support a high-performing team built around coaching, accountability, and alignment with Integra Core Values. You will own a territory with an $90M revenue goal and partner closely with field leaders, key customers, and enterprise teams to strengthen market position.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Provide strategic guidance to achieve sales and marketing goals while supporting a profitable contribution to Integra LifeSciences.
- Set realistic quarterly sales objectives and execute plans to achieve annual gross revenue and margin targets.
- Monitor performance by analyzing sales, marketing, and financial information against sales and margin goals.
- Drive forecasting accuracy and predictability using Sales Methodology and Sales Force CRM.
- Staff and lead the Sales Division approach, maintaining clear communication with Sales colleagues to operate efficiently within company policy and values.
- Provide input and instruction to internal functions supporting ongoing Acclarent & Acute Specialty Instrument sales channel development.
- Interface regularly with existing and potential key customers and keep sales and marketing teams informed of competitive and industry trends.
- Lead contract initiatives with Field and Enterprise teams to secure strategic positioning with local, IDN, and national Group Purchasing Organization partners.
- Develop rapport with nationally recognized customers to build and strengthen company brand presence.
- Represent the company in alignment with policy and procedure at conventions and key customer gatherings, and participate in routine sales meetings focused on increasing sales and profits.
- Use Integra Global Leadership Competencies and sales competencies to coach and develop Regional Business Managers, Area Specialists, and sales colleagues.
- Develop and manage succession plans for key positions within the area of responsibility.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of medical device sales experience, including minimum 5 years in sales management
- Track record of achieving exceptional sales results
- Proven ability to build, develop, and lead teams that deliver results
- Experience creating strategic selling plans for new product and market segments
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to create presentations, recommend actions for short- and long-term priorities, and forecast revenue accurately
- Knowledge of hospital and outpatient healthcare delivery models with demonstrated impact on decisions that generate new revenue
- Adept at managing hospital sales and contracting cycles for complex product portfolios
- Exceptional account management skills and a highly collaborative leadership style
- Strong ability to influence and motivate stakeholders across multi-disciplinary business and functions
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Disciplined approach to project management and decision making
- 50% field travel
