What you’ll do

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for growing sales in an assigned area by delivering consistent product, program, and marketing support to current and new customers. In this role, you will forecast product needs, review key performance metrics, identify local and industry trends, and pursue growth opportunities across your account base.

  • Proactively identify, qualify, close, and grow new accounts
  • Steward and expand existing Bridgestone business
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations, marketing opportunities, and program support
  • Forecast product needs to support customer demand
  • Make strong enterprise decisions and find creative ways to support customers while increasing Bridgestone profitability
  • Serve the customer with excellence through ongoing, relationship-based support

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience, including successfully closing new business and growing or renewing an existing customer base
  • An innovative mindset to create strategies for existing customer growth and new lead generation
  • Ability to understand customers, develop and execute strategies, and monitor success with flexibility for sustainable growth
  • Capability to conduct high level conversations with decision makers
  • Personal integrity that enables you to rise above the competition
  • Demonstrated ability to manage your area with honesty, servanthood, excellence, discipline, and accountability
  • Some knowledge of the tire industry and competitive products
  • Some experience in the retail tire business, with customer-facing experience preferred
