Job Description

Northern Neck Chevrolet in Montross, VA is seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to lead the sales process for premium vehicles and actively nurture relationships with prospective buyers. The role emphasizes strong communication, CRM and inventory-management proficiency, and a collaborative approach to driving dealership growth through a well-managed sales pipeline and high-end vehicle presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to potential buyers via outbound calls, cold outreach, and in-person meetings to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Oversee and cultivate the sales pipeline to meet both personal targets and dealership goals.
  • Drive high-end vehicle sales by understanding customer needs and presenting fitting options.
  • Close deals through effective negotiation while preserving profitability.
  • Upsell add-ons such as warranties, insurance, and accessories to improve customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity using CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for attracting new clients and boosting brand awareness.
  • Plan and participate in promotional events, public speaking engagements, and community outreach to showcase dealership offerings.
  • Assist with inventory management to ensure optimal vehicle stock levels.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey, from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.
  • Support overall sales management by keeping organized documentation and reporting on sales metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automobile, retail, or B2B sales; dealership background is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts concurrently.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including phone etiquette and public speaking.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, inventory management systems, and retail math calculations.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a focus on upselling and closing effectively.
  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
  • Knowledge of automotive inventory control, marketing strategies, and outbound outreach techniques.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
