Job Description

The position is a 1099 commission-based role with Excargo Services, focused on expanding the client base in freight, logistics, and supply chain services. The incumbent will identify opportunities, cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, present our services, and onboard new clients in a hybrid work setup based in Houston, Texas.

Overview

This is a 1099, commission-only Business Development Representative opportunity designed to grow Excargo Services' client portfolio in freight, logistics, and supply chain offerings. The role suits self-starters who thrive in a performance-driven environment, with responsibilities centered on opportunity identification, client relationship development, service presentations, and new client onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across importers, exporters, freight forwarders, warehouses, and related entities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers within logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Present our service offerings and convert prospects into new accounts.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of newly acquired clients.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with transportation management software.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with shippers and forwarders.
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL) operations is a plus.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Sales experience is advantageous for driving business growth.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 35,000 to 83,433 per year. This is a 1099 commission-based position.

Work Location

Hybrid remote work arrangement in Houston, TX 77034.
