Overview
This is a 1099, commission-only Business Development Representative opportunity designed to grow Excargo Services' client portfolio in freight, logistics, and supply chain offerings. The role suits self-starters who thrive in a performance-driven environment, with responsibilities centered on opportunity identification, client relationship development, service presentations, and new client onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across importers, exporters, freight forwarders, warehouses, and related entities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers within logistics and supply chain operations.
- Present our service offerings and convert prospects into new accounts.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of newly acquired clients.
Requirements
- Proficiency with transportation management software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with shippers and forwarders.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems to foster long-term partnerships.
- Knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL) operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Sales experience is advantageous for driving business growth.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 35,000 to 83,433 per year. This is a 1099 commission-based position.
