Job Description

ProLink Solutions is hiring for a Houston-based Business Development & Account Manager role that blends new business generation, ongoing account management, and project coordination. The position focuses on creating sales opportunities across the Greater Houston market while ensuring recurring services and one-time projects are delivered with consistent quality.

Role Overview

This role generates new commercial service opportunities, manages an established customer portfolio, and sells and oversees one-time service projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and properties in the Greater Houston area, supporting both growth and retention through relationship management and organized pipeline activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial service opportunities across Houston and surrounding markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, facility managers, restaurant groups, retail operators, and other commercial decision-makers.
  • Identify prospective customers through networking, referrals, market research, cold outreach, and in-person property visits.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings, property walks, and service presentations.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate recurring or one-time services.
  • Assist with preparing estimates, proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Follow up consistently on leads, estimates, and outstanding proposals.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and provide regular updates to company leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the number of services provided to existing customers.
  • Work toward established goals for sales, revenue growth, and customer retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and properties.
  • Oversee recurring services, confirm work completion against schedule and scope, and support quality expectations.
  • Conduct regular property visits and quality-control inspections.
  • Review service photos, work documentation, customer requirements, and completion reports.
  • Communicate service updates, concerns, and recommended improvements to customers.
  • Coordinate schedules and service expectations with field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal operations.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and ensure issues are properly documented and resolved.
  • Maintain accurate account notes, follow-up items, and service records within company systems.
  • Support retention through consistent communication and reliable follow-through.
  • Identify repair, enhancement, improvement, and project-based opportunities at existing and prospective properties.
  • Conduct site walks to document project conditions, measurements, photos, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of project estimates for customer approval.
  • Communicate approved project scope, pricing, schedule, and expectations to customers and field teams.
  • Coordinate approved projects with subcontractors, vendors, and internal operations staff.
  • Monitor project scheduling, progress, documentation, expenses, and completion.
  • Confirm completed work meets the approved scope and ProLink’s quality standards.
  • Address project changes or additional work through the appropriate approval and change-order process.
  • Ensure final photos, completion records, and billing information are documented.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in business development, outside sales, account management, project management, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong sales, customer-service, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to evaluate property conditions and communicate service recommendations.
  • Comfort working independently and coordinating with customers, field teams, and subcontractors.
  • Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, CRM platforms, scheduling systems, and mobile applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Houston and surrounding markets.
