Business Development Capture & Operations Associate

The Business Development Capture and Operations Associate role is an onsite position based in Springfield, Virginia. It supports the full lifecycle of opportunity development from pipeline growth through delivery handoff, spanning federal and commercial programs for De Lune Corp, with emphasis on tracking and reporting throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the expansion and monitoring of the sales pipeline across federal and commercial opportunities.
• Assist in spotting and qualifying opportunities, including federal set-asides, GSA programs, and partner-led initiatives.
• Coordinate the preparation of proposals, including RFI/RFP responses, formatting, and adherence to submission timelines.
• Maintain CRM and pipeline reporting to reflect current status and projections.
• Contribute to the development of capability statements and outreach materials.
• Support partnership and teaming arrangements with primes, subcontractors, joint ventures, and OEMs.
• Assist in transitioning won work into delivery, covering staffing coordination and kickoff preparation.
• Track projects against scope, schedule, and deliverables to ensure alignment.
• Maintain a consistent cadence of reporting, including status updates and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Support basic project financial tracking, including utilization, budgets, and invoicing coordination.
• Help implement and sustain internal processes for delivery governance and project oversight.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in business development support, proposals, operations, or project coordination.
• Exposure to federal government contracting or a strong interest in learning the field.
• Experience supporting proposals, RFPs, or structured business processes is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High ownership mindset with proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful work habits.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in growing into a BD/capture and operations leadership path.
