Outpatient Imaging Affiliates in Franklin, TN offers a full-time hybrid Business Development Finance Manager role that centers growth finance. You will partner to model and guide growth through acquisitions, de novo development, service line expansions, and capital investments, supported by financial modeling, due diligence, and investment analysis. The role thrives on cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Contracting, Compliance, and Legal, and requires a bachelor’s degree with five to seven years of related finance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain advanced financial models and investment analyses to support acquisitions, joint ventures, de novo developments, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Conduct valuation analyses using discounted cash flow models, market comparables, return metrics such as ROIC, IRR, NPV, payback, and other investment measures.
  • Assess capex requirements, working capital assumptions, reimbursement trends, volume growth projections, staffing models, and drivers of operational performance.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to evaluate financial risk and return profiles.
  • Build underwriting models for acquisitions and new center development that incorporate ramp-up operational assumptions, payer mix, reimbursement rates, referral trends, and market dynamics.
  • Evaluate strategic growth options including service line expansion, equipment replacement, center optimization, and geographic market expansion.
  • Lead financial due diligence efforts and coordinate diligence workstreams across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Contracting, Compliance, and Legal teams to validate operational, financial, reimbursement, and compliance assumptions.
  • Review financial statements, productivity metrics, reimbursement trends, payer contracts, referral patterns, and operational KPIs to assess acquisition and partnership opportunities.
  • Identify risks, earnings quality considerations, operational improvement opportunities, and potential integration challenges.
  • Assist in preparing investment committee materials, executive briefs, board materials, and transaction recommendations.
  • Coordinate information gathering and manage timelines to support timely completion of transactions and bid processes.
  • Lead the development of pro formas for new development opportunities in collaboration with Operations and Finance leadership.
  • Prepare market analyses for existing and prospective markets, covering demographic trends, competitive intelligence, reimbursement environments, utilization trends, and market attractiveness.
  • Support joint ventures in identifying value creation opportunities such as acquisitions, de novo expansion, service line optimization, and operational improvements.
  • Create benchmarking databases and standardized assumptions to validate and stress-test future pro formas.
  • Continuously enhance financial modeling methodologies, diligence processes, and investment analytics capabilities.
  • Assess post-acquisition and post-implementation financial performance against underwriting assumptions and approved return targets.
  • Track actual performance versus projections for acquisitions, new centers, and strategic initiatives, identifying variance drivers.
  • Work with Operations and Executive Leadership on corrective actions and value creation initiatives based on performance data.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to monitor investment performance, ramp performance, profitability trends, and return metrics.
  • Support strategic reviews of center performance and portfolio optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor industry, reimbursement, regulatory, and competitive trends relevant to radiology and healthcare services.
  • Provide actionable insights on reimbursement changes, payer behavior, market competition, and healthcare policy.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and long-term growth strategy development.
  • Support corporate initiatives focused on growth, operational improvement, and enterprise value creation.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and facilitate collaboration across departments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through diligence and analytical processes without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Support organizational goals through participation, measurement, tracking, and communication of results.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including participation in meetings, trainings, and strategic planning activities.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years of progressive finance experience in business development, strategic finance, healthcare finance, mergers and acquisitions, or corporate development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis experience.
  • Healthcare, radiology, imaging center, physician practice management, or multi-site healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating acquisitions, de novo developments, joint ventures, or large capital investments.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including DCF, IRR, NPV, payback, ROI, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modeling.
  • Ability to build and evaluate complex pro formas for acquisitions, de novo centers, service line expansions, and capital projects.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer rates, reimbursement trends, and revenue cycle drivers.
  • Ability to analyze operational, financial, and market data to identify risks, opportunities, and value creation strategies.
  • Capacity to synthesize large volumes of data into concise executive-level recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate strategic, operational, and financial implications of investment opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Able to coordinate diligence workstreams across Operations, Revenue Cycle, Contracting, Accounting, Compliance, Legal, and Executive teams to meet timelines.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational ability, and follow-through.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related financial modeling and data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of medical and radiology terminology preferred.
