Job Description

The Wheel Group is seeking a results oriented Business Development Manager to identify new market opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and drive growth within the wheel and tire sector.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on pursuing new accounts as the core duty of the role.
  • Support growth and development of existing key accounts in collaboration with our account teams.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long term partnerships.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and advance larger opportunities through the process: prospect, qualify, propose, negotiate, and close.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, expand market presence, and achieve territory goals.
  • Collaborate with the area sales team and peers to create and execute strategies that drive business development and meet sales targets.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with other companies to broaden reach and capabilities.
  • Regularly review and report on business development activities, offering insights for continuous improvement.
  • Generate leads, conduct value driven sales calls, and meet with customers, potentially across multiple meetings in a day.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a business development manager or in a similar role calling on new business prospects.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business strategy, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on building long term partnerships.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, market analysis tools, and business development platforms.
  • Ability to travel regionally, with up to 50% travel and some overnight stays.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in aftermarket automotive, specifically wheels and/or tires.

Compensation

Salary: USD 65,000 per year.

Locations and travel

Locations: Lilburn, GA 30047 (onsite) and Grand Prairie, TX 75051.

This role requires regional travel up to 50%, with occasional overnight stays as needed.

Experience

  • Aftermarket automotive experience, specifically wheels and/or tires: 1 year preferred
  • Business development experience: 3 years required
