Business Development Manager
Job Description
Motivated and professional Business Development Manager to drive growth through relationship building, networking, and market development in the Portland Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, and other key industry decision-makers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities beyond existing company-provided leads.
- Participate in industry networking events such as Professional Business Development Group (PBDG), Home Builders Association events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, construction industry gatherings, trade shows, and related association functions.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure opportunities are pursued effectively.
- Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified prospects and actively manage activities in the CRM.
- Conduct client visits and relationship-building meetings across the service area.
- Represent Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal with professionalism and integrity.
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and market expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Minimum 3 years of construction industry experience
- Proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Compensation
- Base salary: $50,000 per year
- Performance-based commission on self-generated revenue with no cap
- 1.0% commission on the first $1,000,000 of annual self-generated revenue
- 2.0% commission on annual self-generated revenue above $1,000,000
- Bonuses: $5,000 at $1,000,000; $25,000 at $2,000,000; $40,000 at $3,000,000
- Total potential earnings range: $50,000 to $140,000 per year (base salary plus commissions and bonuses)
- Example earnings: $1,000,000 revenue yields about $65,000 total; $2,000,000 yields about $105,000 total; $3,000,000 yields about $140,000 total
- A self-generated account is defined as an account not actively producing revenue for Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal within the previous 24 months and documented in the CRM prior to proposal issuance
