Business Development Manager
Job Description
ABB Electrification Services is seeking a focused Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Los Angeles metro area from a base in Anaheim, CA, with remote work flexibility. The role centers on expanding the EL Services portfolio—covering service engineering solutions, hardware solutions, aftermarket parts, and ABB Ability Digital Solutions—by developing and closing orders while executing the service sales strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develops and penetrates IB markets by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions that benefit customers and ABB.
- Understands the channel strategy, sets related pricing, prepares and reviews sales plans, and proposes recovery strategies when needed.
- Generates service sales leads and uncovers new market opportunities by leveraging market trends and exploring potential new service portfolios.
- Represents ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities including campaigns, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in sales or marketing within the electrical distribution services industry.
- Solid knowledge of electrical power studies, switchgear, circuit breakers and protective relaying across industrial, commercial, and utility markets.
- Ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with energy and a positive contribution to the team environment.
- Proven success in expanding new customer volume and trade areas.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
