Job Description

Designer Greetings is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across New England from its Boston base. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence in the Boston area and beyond. You will manage the full sales cycle and collaborate with marketing and delivery teams to translate strategy into measurable results.

Key responsibilities and expectations include:

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Boston area and broader New England market through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and increase market share.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track prospects, manage client interactions, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Coordinate with project management teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies proactively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives for senior management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in business development or sales roles within relevant industries, preferably with experience in the Boston or New England markets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce or equivalent tools; experience with CRM analytics is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, negotiation tactics, and project management principles.
  • Proven ability to develop effective marketing strategies that support sales objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management best practices and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous but not required.
