Job Description

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Business Development Manager 3 to lead business development and strategy across multiple Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) program portfolios. The onsite role is based in Corinne, UT, with work occurring in Bacchus and Promontory, UT, and it includes capture strategy, government relations, and coordination across multi-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage task distribution and workflow to support proposals tied to small to large pursuits, including cross-division and cross-sector efforts for both new and follow-on business.
  • Provide proactive communication, interface, and follow-up with customer communities, prospective new business organizations, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Independently conduct initial business approach discussions and technical conversations.
  • Translate customer needs into specific requirements, tailor company services and solutions into offerings, and oversee captures to market the operating unit’s products and capabilities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), including developing and executing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, establishing pursuit priorities, building and growing customer intimacy, developing capture plans, and overseeing funding execution.
  • Support capture/proposal managers with proposals and execution.
  • Participate in key capture pursuits.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience within the aerospace community involving government procurement of weapons systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in capture management, business development, project/business/program management, or engineering.
  • Ability to conduct independent initial technical and concept discussions with Space Science and Technology community.
  • Current Secret clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Science and Technology and Solid rocket motor organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Understanding of the DoD and intelligence budgets and marketplace.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Government procurement policies and regulations.
  • Program management experience, including hardware and/or software engineering skills.
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Compensation and Employment Details

  • Location: Corinne, UT (onsite)
  • Travel: Yes, 25% of the Time
  • Salary Range: USD 151,500 - 227,300 per year
  • Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance may be available

  • Clearance Type: Secret
