Job Description

The Business Development Manager role at Brandpoint, based in Hopkins, MN with a hybrid work arrangement, offers a base salary in the range of USD 120,000 to 165,000 per year plus uncapped commission. The position emphasizes identifying and pursuing new opportunities, sustaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive outcomes by sourcing opportunities through self-generated leads, inbound channels, and the existing client base, applying consultative and solution-based selling to secure deals.
  • Perform consultative discovery to build rapport and extract essential information from prospects and clients, enabling tailored recommendations aligned with their objectives.
  • Manage the sales process and develop product expertise by leading discovery meetings, proposals, and solution presentations to guide buyers through Brandpoint offerings.
  • Collaborate using internal systems such as Salesforce and SalesLoft to communicate with clients, log activities, design outreach cadences, prepare standard proposals, and create customized service packages; work closely with project managers, writers, and editors to fulfill projects.
  • Close deals by meeting or surpassing activity metrics and sales goals through prospecting, negotiation, and overcoming objections.
  • Upsell and retain clients by reinforcing the value proposition, encouraging product usage, and pursuing renewals and expansion within the existing base.
  • Maintain accurate, timely activity logs and forecast opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong persuasion and prospecting capabilities.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with PR, marketing, digital, or SaaS audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of top performance in prior roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a 1M+ book of business.
  • History of winning new business in previous positions.
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Experience selling digital content solutions to agencies.
  • Self-discipline, drive, and determination to meet or exceed goals.
  • Experience tracking business in a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
