Business Development Manager -Education & Healthcare Markets (2 Years Experience Required)

The Business Development Manager for Education and Healthcare markets will drive growth for New York Blackboard in Hillside, New Jersey. The role emphasizes building relationships with decision-makers, collaborating with architects and interior designers, participating in industry events, delivering custom solutions, and leveraging construction software to identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network of institutional purchasing decision-makers and maintain regular contact.
• Collaborate with architects and interior designers to secure product specifications.
• Attend industry events and trade shows to generate new leads and expand the client base.
• Partner with internal teams to craft custom solutions that meet client requirements.
• Use construction software to identify and pursue new project opportunities.

Requirements

• Some technology knowledge or experience in AV systems.
• Resilient mindset capable of handling rejection and setbacks without loss of motivation.
• Solid understanding of our products and services and the ability to select the appropriate solution for the client.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas; minimum three years of experience selling to schools, hospitals, and diverse businesses.
• Ability to prospect for new clients, multitask, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively throughout the purchase process.
