Business Development Manager, Medical Communications
Job Description
Resolv.Global is hiring an agency-side Business Development Manager to generate and close new client opportunities for specialized medical communications across U.S. pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and win new pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients for medical communications services
- Build and maintain relationships with senior Medical Affairs and Medical Information stakeholders (Heads, VPs, Directors, and similar roles)
- Source new business opportunities through targeted outreach, industry relationships, networking, and in-person meetings
- Own the full business development cycle: prospecting and discovery through proposals, negotiation, and closing
- Assess client needs and align specialized medical and scientific communications solutions to those requirements
- Represent the organization at relevant pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical communications industry events
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development experience, preferably in a medical communications, healthcare communications, scientific communications, or closely related life sciences agency
- Proven ability to personally generate and close new B2B business with pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology companies
- Direct experience engaging senior stakeholders in Medical Affairs and/or Medical Information
- Strong understanding of how pharmaceutical and biotech organizations work with external medical communications agency partners
- Experience developing new accounts, with preference for candidates who have supported small, emerging, or mid-sized pharma and biotech companies
- Consultative selling, relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Self-directed and commercially minded approach, able to work effectively in a remote environment
Location & Working Arrangements
- Must currently reside in California
- Remote home-office setup with regular field-based client meetings, networking, and industry events
- Travel within California and elsewhere in the U.S. as business needs require
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet, webcam, headset, and a professional workspace required
Compensation
- $120,000–$160,000 base salary per year, depending on experience and qualifications
- Plus performance-based incentives
