Business Development Manager/Tooling Engineer

Hoffmann Die Cast is seeking a driven Business Development Manager and Tooling Engineer to support growth initiatives, expand the customer base, and guide new product launches from concept through production. This onsite role in Saint Joseph, Michigan, emphasizes opportunity identification, client relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration to advance development programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new markets to broaden the company’s customer base
• Conduct market analyses to assess industry trends, competitors, and client needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Collaborate with internal teams including tooling, production, quality, and management on business development initiatives
• Support launches of new products by coordinating timelines, tooling, and quality expectations
• Lead projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and foster long-term partnerships
• Maintain thorough understanding of company products, tooling capabilities, and competitive positioning
• Encourage employee development, teamwork, and accountability across teams

Requirements

• Extensive Tool and Die knowledge and die casting experience is required
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within manufacturing
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Aptitude for analyzing data, evaluating market trends, and identifying growth opportunities
• Strategic thinker with solid problem-solving capabilities
