Pay
Salary: USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with general contractors, property managers, developers, and facility managers
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with commercial clients
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and outreach
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and upcoming construction projects
- Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Prepare accurate quotes and project proposals for commercial garage door systems
- Recommend appropriate products including overhead doors, sectional doors, rolling steel doors, operators, and loading dock equipment; collaborate with management companies to secure additional work and coordinate subcontracting for plumbing and electrical projects
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers
- Manage projects from contract award to final installation and close‑out
- Coordinate schedules between customers, installers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Order materials and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and profitability
- Resolve issues, change orders, and project challenges
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with installation teams, technicians, and operations staff
- Conduct site visits and ensure installations meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain clear documentation of project progress
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, estimating or project management within a service or construction‑related industry
- 3–5+ years of experience in commercial construction, garage doors, building materials, or related industry
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of CRM software tools like Salesforce, project management tools, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans that drive growth and revenue
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
