Business Development Representative
Job Description
Power Substation Services is hiring a Business Development Representative to grow its client base, strengthen strategic partnerships, and surface new business opportunities. This role supports expansion across industries while owning the full sales cycle, using CRM tools to monitor engagement, pipeline activity, and forecasting status.
Working remote, you will prospect, qualify, and pursue opportunities through targeted outreach, then progress deals from first contact through contract signing. You will also coordinate with internal teams to refine outreach approaches and maintain strong client relationships over time.
What you’ll do
- Prospect and qualify new opportunities using targeted outreach, leveraging CRM software to track engagement and progress.
- Build and execute strategic plans to expand the client base across multiple industries in line with company goals.
- Lead high-level sales negotiations by presenting tailored solutions that address client needs and demonstrate deal-closing capability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product teams, and customer success to optimize outreach strategies and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing, aiming for a smooth experience for prospective clients.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, pipeline status, and sales activities in CRM systems such as Salesforce Cloud to support accurate forecasting.
- Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication, relationship management, and strategic account planning.
What you bring
- Proven experience in business development management, including a history of successfully expanding client bases.
- Experience in the transformer field service or the electrical industry.
- Demonstrated ability in sales negotiation, deal closing, and strategic planning in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients, build trust, and support customer relationship management.
- Experience prospecting new leads through multiple channels, including digital marketing initiatives and networking events.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on sales strategy and marketing campaign projects.
- Prior experience with project management tools and CRM practices is advantageous.
