Job Description

This channel-driven, strategic business development position with HQTS Group Ltd. supports long-term partnership building and the development of new market opportunities for HQTS services. The role is focused on identifying and activating high-value channels rather than functioning as a traditional sales closing role.

Role Overview

In this contract role, you will develop strategic channels and partnerships that enable HQTS to qualify long-cycle, high-value opportunities. You will also engage senior stakeholders across global consumer goods supply chains and help translate early discovery into sales-ready leads for internal Sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business channels and strategic partnerships across target industries with a consumer goods focus, including textiles, footwear, toys, children’s products, furniture, electronics, home appliances, and related categories.
  • Identify and engage key sourcing hubs, trade networks, and regional market opportunities relevant to HQTS services.
  • Build and execute market entry and expansion strategies for HQTS services, including inspection, testing, auditing, SQE, ESG, and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with global brands, retailers, trade associations, chambers, and other industry organizations.
  • Drive partnership discussions, including referral models, lead-sharing agreements, and strategic alliance development.
  • Conduct early-stage discovery to understand client needs, decision-making structures, timelines, and commercial potential.
  • Qualify opportunities and hand over sales-ready leads to internal Sales teams for execution.
  • Represent HQTS at selected strategic industry events, trade shows, and conferences, prioritizing relationship-building over lead volume.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Technical, Operations, and Marketing teams to align messaging and solution positioning.
  • Provide structured market feedback on competitors, industry trends, and customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, channel development, strategic partnerships, or consultative B2B sales.
  • Background in supply chain, quality assurance, manufacturing, international trade, inspection/testing services, or related industries.
  • Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders at the Director level and above.
  • Proven experience opening new accounts, channels, or regional markets.
  • Strong understanding of B2B long sales cycles and relationship-driven business development.
  • Ability to understand basic technical and commercial concepts in supply chain and product compliance (without deep engineering requirements).
  • Strong commercial judgment and opportunity qualification capability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in quality assurance, testing, inspection, auditing, ESG, compliance, or supply chain services.
  • Experience working with global consumer brands sourcing from China, Southeast Asia, or South Asia.
  • Exposure to trade events, industry associations, or government and quasi-government business promotion bodies.
  • Additional European languages are a strong advantage for EU market development.

Typical Stakeholders

  • Major global brands such as Walmart, Disney, LEGO, and other large retailers and manufacturers.

  • Location: New York, NY (remote)
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Compensation: USD 5,000 - 7,000 per month
