Job Description

The Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. Director of Business Development will drive strategic growth in post-acute care, spearhead market expansion in New York, and onboard new SNF partnerships. The role demands strong relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, and clear advocacy for an integrated care model that combines physiatry, geriatrics, palliative care, and telemedicine.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new facility partnerships across New York.
  • Develop a structured pipeline of leads, including facility ownership groups, individual SNFs, and regional operators.
  • Regularly report growth metrics to executive leadership.
  • Represent Rehabilitation Associates as a trusted advocate for the quality and integrity of the clinical model.
  • Leverage existing connections within the LTC/SNF community to open doors and facilitate introductions.
  • Serve as liaison between facility leadership and clinical and operational teams during early partnership stages.
  • Represent the practice at state associations, industry conferences, and networking events.
  • Articulate the value proposition of comprehensive post-acute care that integrates physiatry, geriatrics, palliative care, and telemedicine.
  • Maintain consistent messaging aligned with the organization’s reputation for quality.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity in post-acute care.
  • Advise leadership on strategic positioning, opportunities for differentiation, and potential risks.
  • Provide insights into payer dynamics, facility ownership shifts, and growth opportunities such as new SNF builds or acquisitions.
  • Support smooth transitions from prospect to contract, preserving credibility and trust.
  • Collaborate with credentialing, operations, and clinical leadership to remove barriers to new facility engagement.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience in long-term care, ideally as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) or in a senior leadership role within a post-acute facility or ownership group.
  • Proven track record of driving growth, securing contracts, or expanding services in healthcare.
  • Deep, pre-existing network with nursing home owners and administrators in New York.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and trust-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of the operational, clinical, and financial drivers of nursing homes.
  • Ability to communicate the value of a comprehensive care model to clinical and financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker capable of balancing short-term wins with long-term partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (required).
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) credential strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or public health is desired but not required.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 120,000 to 140,000 per year, with significant bonus incentivization.
